Good day my fellow crafty friends, welcome to my corner of the web. Hope you’re hanging in there and practicing safety for yourself and those around you.
Today I have more stitching on paper! I while back I posted this card on my Instagram and got some very nice comments and I thought I share. I enjoy adding layers with papers and using different textures whenever I can and there are several in this card.
I have this lovely butterfly embossing folder from Stampin’up which I used to add texture to my background along with a small piece of vellum to break down the busyness.
The stitching tag die is from My Favorite Things and it comes with scalloped edges and straight edges, each sold separately. It’s truly one of my favorite dies, I love it so much I bought two sets just to make sure I always have a backup! There is no specific pattern to the stitch I used a multi-color DMC #5 Pearl Cotton thread and just cross-stitched the tag. Nothing difficult about it I promise you!
The flowers are from the “Stronger Together” stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. Now I avoid fussy cutting as much as possible so I stamped this image and then used my Brother Scan ‘n Cut to cut it out. I really needed more than one so this is the most efficient way to do it.
I colored the flowers with my Zig Clean Brush markers and the sentiment is from the same stamp set. To add a final touch I added little gems for some sparkle.
I have listed all my supplies at end of this blog and hope you got some ideas and maybe even give stitching on paper a try.
Take care and stay safe!
