Hello and thank you for coming by! Hope your still in good spirits and staying healthy!
I could not let go completely of the pattern paper in the April SSS Card Kit so here are some bonus cards!
First card is about taking one whole piece and cutting it in an interesting angle, some heat embossing and you got yourself a colorful card that will bring a smile during hard times.
When doing this layout I did stamped the sentiment in the location I wanted then temporarily taped the pattern paper in the angle and position I wanted and finally trimmed the paper.
For the umbrellas I just masked the rest of the stamp from the “Follow the Rainbows” stamp set and just carefully stamped with clear embossing ink. Finally the white heat embossing was done. The hardest part was making sure the rest of the girl’s body didn’t get transferred in to the paper and having the embossing powder adhered to it.
This next card is also about using your papers in simple yet creative ways. Look on your stash and look at all those forgotten supplies and take them out to play. I had these speech bubble border dies I’ve had so long I don’t even know where I got them from and just cut a piece from pattern paper.
I did stamp the sentiment first to make sure I have the right placement for the pattern paper piece.
Hope you found some inspiration to try different ways to use pattern papers and don’t forget to check out if you haven’t, my other two posts using the April 2020 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit.(Click here for Part 1 and here for Part 2)
Thank you again for stopping! I appreciate your time and below are some of the links for the supplies I used. Remember the links are at no extra cost to you and if you are able in these hard times please support small business!
Take care of yourself and your loved ones, practice social distancing and stay healthy!
