SCT January Sampler Kit: Stay Cozy

Hello and welcome to my little corner!

I have a new kit that I recently subscribed to from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine and it’s a super cute little kit!

I forgot to take an unboxing picture so here is SCT sampler picture. This is a subscription kit and The SCT Sampler pre-order period is open from the 1st – 25th of each month. You can check out more information at https://scrapbookandcards.com/sct-sampler.

So far I’ve made 5 cards and I today I have 3 of them to show you. If you head over to my Instagram account you can see more creations and don’t be surprise if more cards appear later on since I still have some pattern papers and the cute stamp set so you never know I might revisit this kit soon!

This Kit includes a stamp set, patterned paper, stickers, monthly journaling tags, storage pockets, decorative paper clip and the sparkling word “shine” cut out. So let get this show on the road with the first card.

Card 1

For card one I took one of the pattern papers by Crate Paper that had images of sweaters, mittens and scarves and with my Brother Scan n Cut I cut out some of the images. They are easy enough to cut by hand but I was just multitasking, while the machine was cutting I was cleaning my work area!

I cut a 4 x 5.25 panel and arranged the cut out, word sticker “Snow” and stamped “Let It” with the stamp set in the kit for a quick and cute winter card to brighten someone’s day.

Card 2

Card 2 was another fun card to make since it required just a little fuzzy cutting while watching Prime Video! The little houses and trees are from the pattern paper by Crate Paper included in the kit. To anchor the houses and trees I just cut a strip of coordinating paper and used it as base. Didn’t even need to add a sentiment! For the background I used my new favorite rubber stamp by Simon Says Stamp “You Are.” I really love this stamp and the font is so pretty that it just adds a little something, specially when doing a tone on tone background. It’s just texture without the bulk.

This last card was also very quick and even though the holiday season is over I just couldn’t resist the cute little Christmas tree!  With some pattern paper and some puffy gold stickers and you have yourself a festive little card made in less time that it takes to go shopping for a card and is handmade!

As I mention before I post many more cards on my Instagram @wonderingmindfield so if you have a moment go check it out and hopefully you will find some inspiration.  See you next time and below are a list of the supplies I used!

Take care and be safe,

Connie Morales
