Hello, Welcome!
It’s been a while and is crazy how time flies. I didn’t even realized how much time has gone by since my last post. I’m such a terrible blogger is shameful!
Well you know me and here I am with another kit by Simon Says Stamp. This is the November 2018 “Thanks and Leaves” kit and it has a beautiful sentiment stamp and some very nice goodies by Tim Holtz.
If you want to get this kit you better hurry! These babies sell out quickly! So click here for the link to this kit at the Simon Says Stamp Online Store.
Here are three cards I made using this kit and by the end of the week I should post the remaining cards. There’s still some work in progress going on in my craftroom. You can always head on over to my Instagram were I post pictures of all the cards I’ve made not only using the kits’ contents but other goodies I have in my stash.
For the above card I used the leaves in the stamp set and created my own pattern background; stamped the nice sentiment and using foil scraps from a previous kit foiled the line to give the card some shine and separate the pattern from the sentiment.
The multicolor effect 2was done by using a small sponge dauber and just adding layers of colors on the stamp itself and then stamping the card stock. Is a lot easier that you think and the effects are very pretty. You can’t see it in the picture by I added some shimmer to all the leaves with some Nuvo shimmer brush pen.
In the next card I kept everything simple and using my Misti I created the background by stamping with Versafine Watermark Ink to create the tone on tone look. The tag was done the same way using inks by Gina K. Designs.
The last card for today was created using the butterflies by Tim Holtz in the kit and a little mixed media with the inks. I created the window with a rectangle die and used Post-it tape to keep the color bank in place. This allows to keep the colors and splatters in one place and not all over the card. The good thing about mixed media is you can create a controlled mess and look great.
Whenever possible I always try to use only the kit’s contents but I also love to incorporate embellishments and tidbits from my stash. Never be afraid to add new things from your stach, you are only limited by your imagination. If it fails just try again, the fun is to play and not stress so much that everything must be perfect.
As I mentioned before I still have a few more cards and will do my best to come back and show you completed cards from my creative lab. Remember the links are at the end of the post!
Take care and keep crafting…

I’m so bad at multi-stamping for a background, it’s like I have a mind block on where to put them so they look good, however, you nailed it! thanks for the chance for this fabulous kit!

Beautiful cards made with the kit. Just headed here from your IG post & am your newest follower. Thanks for the opportunity to win this awesome giveaway. I never used a kit before.
I liked what you wrote about yourself. I do not own a lot of supplies, but make do with what I have earned through generous crafters giveaways. My husband is also not supportive in my creative venture. He’d prefer if I did something intellectual & thinks crafting & blogging is a waste of time. Thankfully, he can’t call it a waste of money as I have won what I own. I love my hobby, it makes me happy & keeps me sane. But time constraints keep me from doing much.

Yay! All the luck and I may have a few supplies now but I started out with basics and just have a small budget. I mostly buy on sale, kits or second hand. This is a hobby for me as well!!! 🙂
