Welcome back!
Here we have part 2 of the “Choose Joy” Simon Says Stamps March 2018 kit. As I mentioned on my previous post I did not use the images on the stamps that were included on the kit, not because I thought they were bad but the paper really sparked my creativity.
I don’t usually like stickers but I came to learn that they can be a great way to add embellishments and focal points if you have good quality stickers that also coordinates with the papers you’re using. Now here are the other cards I created!
Card 8: This paper is just beautiful and I need to re-stock it! For this card I took a circle die that was the right size for the wreath, cut out the circle on the side and glued the embellishment to the inside of the card in the centering to the circle I cut. The sentiment was stamped on the sticker and I heat embossed with clear embossing powder so it would not smudge due to the glossy surface.

When you open the card you have the pretty embellishment doing double duty and the inside sentiment.
Card 9: This card had several elements I really loved. I like to have some white space and I achieved it by cutting the paper in an interesting angle with a border die and layering another coordinating paper underneath (white floral pattern). The stickers once again were used to create a focal point in the card and the sentiment from the stamp set was just perfect to place above the pretty border.

Card 10: Pattern papers that have large elements such as the tags in this card are great and help stretch the use of the paper. I cut these cuties and adhered them to the wood grain pattern paper. The sentiment finishes the card nicely!

Card 11: A cluster of elements is one of my favorites techniques in creating cards with different types of paper and embellishments. This card is one of my favorites!

Card 12: Paper pads with cut apart elements are very useful for beginner card makers. All I did was used the beautiful floral paper as the panel and added the cut apart tag as the focal point since the message was lovely. Simple and pretty!

Card 13: This card is a perfect example that having good designer paper pack is an amazing tool for your card design. All the papers and elements go so well together so you do not need to do much but put them together in an interesting layout. Your card will turn out pretty, lovely, delightful and inspiring! 🙂

Well on with the next kit! I love seeing the stash getting smaller and these kits are making me happy with creativity! This kit sold out, but I’ve added the links to the supplies that are sold separately.

Lovely cards! My favorite is card #10. I am always afraid of stamping and embossing on top of pattern paper, but your cards have inspired me to give it a try. l

Definitely try it I find that embossing is pretty forgiving and haven’t found any issues yet when using pattern papers! Do a test try is if can. Thank you for your comment and I’m so happy you stopped by! Take Care!!
