Hello and Welcome to my corner of the Internet! So happy to finally get a chance to play with a Paper Pumpkin kit by Stampin-up® and this one was a good one. This kit is the “Pining for Plaid” and it makes 10 shaker cards. If you can’t get this kit, you can still sign up to receive November’s kit if you sign up by November 10th. Click here to subscribe and you’ll receive it in about 7 to business days by USPS.

(P.S – ALl of the cards are on sale on my Etsy® Shop and 100% of the sale proceeds will be donated to You Care organized by Ricky Martin for hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.)

This kit costs $19.95 and shipping is included, which means that each card comes to about $2 a card. A great value!  You can assemble the cards with a group of friends, family or just you and a couple of glasses of wine!  I you can brag about your handmade cards too!  They also have different types of plans prepaid subscriptions with different discounts.

I must say the cards as directed in the kit were pretty simple and quick to put together. The kit came with all the paper, adhesive, sequins, ink cube, and a small stamp set to to make 5 of each of the following two designs:

Of course I look at the instructions and samples as guidelines and try to challenge my creativity and coming up with different designs.   When making different variations I try to only add a max of 5 other supplies not included in the kit.

For this kit I added white, soft sky, old olive and black card stock as well as gold thread sparkly ribbon and Nuvo Crystal Drops in a “duck egg blue”.  These kits are well stocked and you will have not problems  making the cards or crafts with the materials included.

Here are some notes and pictures of all the cards I made and s couple of gift tags too!

Used “soft Sky” Stampin-up card stock as the card base and Nuvo drops to embellish the snowflakes I added with the included stamp set.

Added a different sentiment from another stamp set and a circle to add a little pizzazz!

Perfect for the men in your life! Added black stock, Nuvo drops, a circle die cut and a little gold ribbon and this card would be a good manly card.

Not every card needs to a shaker card! A little ribbon and gold thread and this one is done. 🙂

"Behind every great crafter...Is a huge pile of craft supplies" -JoAnn   Cheeky but true! I love craft supplies as much if not more than trashy paranormal romance novels. I felt it was time to get down to business and actually use all these craft supplies and make pretty things. Would I be successful? Who knows! But now one will be able to accuse me of not giving it all I got. Which is the reason I started this blog, to share my crafting adventures (or most likely mistakes) with the Internet.   Sad but hey I don't have much of a social life and my husband isn't very interested in hearing about crafts! He's much more interested on how the Patriots or Red Sox are doing than listening to me talk about stamps, cardstock and die cutting.   Paper crafting as you will see is my first crafting passion but as any decent crafter would tell you is impossible not to dabble on all other kind of crafting experiments, hence the name wondering mindfield. So look around and hopefully I will inspire you to try something new, make some "creative" mistakes and relax while creating something "pretty." Thank you for visiting and come back soon!
